35p beer.....

Well yesterday was a good one.... I was at the company for the third day running, actually love it here, just the experience of seeing how they work. I also did my first full set of designs for them yesterday!!!! :)!

which I was very please with. They do have such a different way of working here though compared to back home, when we are learning fashion design in england its all about the design process and research and how you get to the final garment, but here they literally buy samples from other companies and change a few things about them, so its not exactly the same but still similar to other companies designs, they seem to miss out things like market research and tread research, its like they let another company work all this out and then just change a few aspects of something. Yesterday I designed a t-shirt, trouser and shorts, but I cant just copy, so iv added more then what they wanted us too, we are waiting for them to be translated then our manager will look over them to see if they are ok on saturday, scary!!! Got back home last night about half 6, so it wasn't too late, went for dinner with one of the girls we work with, her english isn't very good, but she can read if we write her a question, the only problem is she can't seem to answer them. The communication is the hardest part when you have so many questions to ask but not many people who can answer them. It was 27 degrees yesterday too but still a little rainy, its strange weather, so think a little shopping trip is in order on sunday, to buy a few other bits to see us through till we come home :)!!! After tea, we all just basically sat around with out 35p beer, and did some of our work for the teaching!!! ahh me and caroline are al the middle school tomorrow, im terrified!!!! I think im going to try and teach them somethings about a different culture to theirs, Iv picked african culture because I can show them picture and videos I had taken when I was out there, but im still not sure actually how much english they know.... anyway im going to have to get back to work, its 9am in the morning here!!!
