milk man...

Well yesterday was ok; found out early morning it was our last day teaching at the middle school!!! Actually a little sad about that! Anyway it all seemed to go well, I have to admit though, iv never seen anything like it before in my life, when I was at school, we used to play up, and maybe push too far for some of the teachers to handle but here its all amplified by about 5000! They just literally do what they like, and the teachers do and say nothing! I think sometimes the teachers looked at me strangely when I told the students to be quite, but I don’t understand how they can teach anything with half the class hanging from the ceiling and the other half asleep! I do think its because all the schooling here consists of listening to the teacher and not actually doing much work themselves! Everything is centred around the exams and nothing else, so it doesn’t matter that the students have no clue about what any of it means as long as they can remember an answer to a question it relates to they will pass the exam. I also found out that for their English exam, they have to write 100 words, I don’t know what about, I suppose about themselves, the only problems with this is they cant actually say the words they write. They can spell better then me but if they had the read out a sentence from a book or even something they had written themselves over half of them cannot say it! So after our final day at the middle school, we made our way back to the college. After spending an hour talking to jasmine and deciding what to do today we went to get some dinner. It was Chinese food, wasn’t amazing but wasn’t bad either! I’m not losing weight though, which is very annoying! Had an image of my coming home really skinny due to lack of nice food, but know iv somehow worked around this and managed to stuff as much in as possible!! Had a really early night too, was in bed for half 8!!! Think I need it after all the super early starts. So today has been good too, we went to the factory where we got the milk fabric from for our first project in 2nd year! They make fabric from natural fibres such as milk, coffee beans, silk, soybeans, pearl and so many other things I can’t remember them all! They also use natural dying processes, so they use pomegranate and other fruits and food to dye the fabric with some amazing results! They showed us many samples of the different fabrics, showed us around the factory there its all made, from the dying lab, to the places where they dry and iron the fabric too!!

They also sprung a unexpected thing onto us, they want us to design a wedding dress and an outfit for a groom, who is one of their clients! As much as I like designing, wedding dresses ant my thing… it should be interesting to say the least, I really wanted to say no sorry I don’t have time, but they make it very hard, especially when they do so much to make you feel welcome. So I will be contacting my tutors about this one…. It’s even harder as there is the obvious communication problem too! So you are never sure if what they are saying is really what they mean. We will have to wait and see how this goes…! They also took us for dinner, in which I thought I ordered pizza (this is the reason I’m not losing weights) thinking the usual cheese and tomato, but no this was fruit pizza, so apple and banana on a pizza base with cheese on top, have to say it wasn’t the worst thing iv tried since I arrived but it wasn’t the best either, I wouldn’t choose to have it again put it that way!

Had a relaxing day today. tonight we went to the hair dressers in thought of getting our hair washed, ended up being there till mid-night, going from red to bright red to ginger to blonde back to ginger then to brown! have to admit tho, if your in china go and get your hair done! Its amazing they are tons better then english salons, you get a head and shoulder massage, get treated like a queen and if your hungry they order you food :)! and tomorrow we go shanghai for 3 days!!!!! Super exciting! We have it all planned out and 3 days of 7am starts and all day looking around the city! Can’t wait!!! New posts soon…. Toddle pip!

Yesterday was ok!! Been busy again at the company!!! As usual. We had to design to jackets, the only problem is, I think somewhere along the line we got confused or something got lost in translation, as we only just found out we have to put measurements on all our designs too! So, on every detail we have to put measurements in width and length, if you have a flap pocket you need to write how far down the pocket you want it to finish and how wide you would like it. Why did they only explain this to us today!!!!! It would have been ok if it weren’t for the fact we had been doing this wrong for the past 2 weeks! Anyway we have eventually got it right! This is the problem with coming to work in another country is, you can explain yourself to them over and over again, ask as many questions as you like, even show them what work you have done, and they will not correct you because for one they don’t know how to, and two I think our company doesn’t want to insult us. It all seems to stem back to middle school, where they are not allowed to make mistakes they are just expected to get it right and remember the answers to things in school, I think if Chinese people came to our schools in England after studying in china, they would take creative criticism quite as well as we do! Anyway I design two jackets today, I was pleased with them too ☺! They looked good! Got to pick which materials they would be made out of and now they have gone to be translated by the only person who speaks flaunt English in the company. After they go up to the technical department who make the patterns for the design (baring in mind this English to Chinese doesn’t translate well so I will probably have it sent back to me 10 times) then the pattern and the design is sent to the factory to be made into a sample, once this is done, they will deicide what need changing and then sample it again until its perfect! So this time next year, my designs will be all over china!!!! Sooo exciting!!! And maybe within the next few years Intrex will go global! Today has been really fun! We were told not to go to the company today, which although I do enjoy it, I have to admit its good to have a change in schedule now and again, Instead we went to the opening ceremony for the Sino-UK Textiles and Fashion Design Centre in association with the Zhejiang Textiles and Fashion College where we stay,

It was really interesting watch, considering they hadn’t taking into account the weather, so high winds and 20 foot boards didn’t mix, all the way through they had people stood there holding them up! They had flags up around the centre with all the different universities names on them who are involved with the project! (Salford being the best)

It was at this point Caroline made a new friend, one of the Chinese girls asked for a picture with us, think this was more aimed towards Caroline as after a few pics, she ran up to Caroline and hugged her, asking for another picture! Then a businessman that was there for the ceremony decided to join in the fun too and get into the pictures! It’s just so random here! We met some good contacts at the centre, such as the owner of the company we were sponsored by to make dresses out of a special material made from milk protein!

We also saw some of the dresses on display right around the meeting table where all the important people sat! haha! After we went for dinner in the hotel across from the centre, the food was amazing!!!!!

The nicest food we have eaten since arriving I think!!! I ate cow tongue too it was actually really nice! It’s amazing what sort of foods you get to try in these places. After dinner we went back to the college for the rest of the day to ourselves! Decided Ningbo centre would be good to go to! It was ok, got approached by a women riding on the back of a motorbike with her wedding dress on wanting a photo so Caroline took one of her, she also declared she loved us! This seems to happen a lot here! Everyone just loves you! WE WENT MC DONALDS for tea! It was so good! And it actually tasted like it does in England! Most global food places in china seem to taste a lot different to the English ones, I think its because they put a sort of Chinese twang on everything here! It all sort of tastes Chinese out here, even western food! Finally im home! Time to relax! Anyway new posts soon keep viewing please!!

how big is her hip circumference

yesterday was actually good! and the evening was funny too! the highlight was Caroline! I went to say night night to the other, I could hear her but not see her! turns out as I got to the kitchen she was sat in a little closet, next to the kitchen skipping her family! (sorry Caroline you made my yesterday) really did make me laugh! im quite lucky as im in a room on my own, but the others are sharing so they have little privacy! its understandable she would like to speak to her family alone it was just where she was sat and it was just something that i wish I had had my camera out to film! well today has been interesting!! been at the company again. so up at stupidly early 6.30am as usual! Went in today, and our task for the day was to create 3 waist coats, he also said something about them being special but im not sure what he meant, as things get lost in translation frequently here!!! so throughout the day I have been drawing waistcoats on illustrator, we also had out dinner at our favourite cafe as usual! our boss joined us too! it was good! we talked about the company and we asked him some questions, they are looking to open 50 stores around china within the next 12 months, then in about 2 years time they are hoping to go global, and maybe to england!!! we have also been invited to their fashion show on the 9th may!! (this maybe the wrong date iv got a terrible memory at the min!) They are inviting all the business people around Ningbo and from Shanghai to see how the company is growing and to show one of its collections off on the cat walk!! I have no idea what we will be doing a yet, but im sort of hoping it involving the models we have been choosing today ;)! it could be an interesting day! its strange that when you in this country, the minute you see someone who is not chinese you just have want to go and speak to them! so like most of the chinese people stop and stare at us, the min we see someone from another country we are the same! it seems to become a novelty over here! We have also taken to waving at anyone who is sat staring at us! this sometimes turns into the starer bursting into excitement and phoning there friends, standing as close as possible to you, and this could be at a bus stop with 20 people yet they will all decide to try and stand next to you or they could just say hello back! it just depends on who it is. its going to be strange going back to England and not being stared at!!!! anyway back to the company! today I did 6 designs because I had finished way before I had needed to! most of the time no-one really checks them! I take it that at the end of the week, they will check them all together and decide if they want any of them in the collection! I do really enjoy it, also we have been given more freedom, so we are not just coping now! we are designing from scratch! its so strange to think my designs will be sold in their store next year!! its so exciting :)!!!!! OH also iv better explain the title of this! well I got a message over QQ asking what was car, roldes hip circumference, as you can tell it was a guess that the translation meant caroline, so we measured her, turns out tom and jerry had never seen such a big hip circumference as Carolines before! this then led onto other awkward questions such as bust, and waist.... these men are not afraid to ask unsuitable questions at all!!! Also there is a chinese girl there called Sue, she so sweet!!! but also a little strange, she will all of a sudden pop her head around the computer screen whisper to you that you have beautiful eyes or hair or face or skin, the possibilities are endless... she also has an obsession with hair, today I was given something which you would describe as a plate but it was stuck on the side of my head... I took it down rather quickly an said tomorrow she can plat my hair instead, which should be interesting. she also has a thing about going to the toilet in a group, so if you need to go she tags along too, as sweet as she is and she really is so cute! she's a little strange too until you get to know her! When we finally got home at 9pm! (1 hour bus journey home at that time is painstaking!) we went for our chicken burgers (this has been our source of english food since the first week, it is now getting tiering) when we eventually got back to the rooms it was time to ring my mum!!! :)!!! been talking to her while I was writing this! they have loved it! not! its now 11.37 here! so iv better go to bed! night for now! another post coming soon! thanks for the views people :)!!

dumplings....

well after work yesterday it was literally straight to bed!! i felt awful and was so happy to get home, still not brilliant today but much better then yesterday! I was in bed for half 9!!! nothing like me usually! today has been interesting, didn't get up till about 11, then at 1 we all went to our supervisors house, she's called jasmine, she took us to the local market full of little bits and bats, some of the girls bought some bracelets but im saving my money for shanghai next weekend!! cant wait!! I bought some fruit as I think im ill due to the fact we are eat bad food most of the time, as none of us are really liking the chinese food apart from Becca that is... after the market we went back to jasmines home to make dumplings, these are like meat and vegetables mixed together and put inside pastry them boiled in water until they are cooked! I really enjoyed them, we made so many though that there was loads left, she's said there was enough for 20 each, but that was far too many, think I managed around 7, so no where near was many as I should have eaten± they were really filling! due to 3 out of the 5 of us being ill, she also kept us well supplied with wild chrysanthemum tea, its amazing stuff, i LOVE the chinese teas, they are all so different to ours, and most of them taste amazing and really refreshing! I'm planning on buying some from the tea market before I come home so I can at least enjoy it for a week more once i'm back in england! The weeks seem to go really quickly out here, It maybe because we are so busy all the time and don't have much time to think about anything, but I see this as a good thing, if it went really slow and we all hated it, it would be a nightmare, luckily we all seem to be doing ok! think a few of us have had our off days and things like that, but so far things seem to be going well!!! tomorrow I am back at the company, on friday I had to leave before I saw the manager because I was just too ill! id also been there since half 8 in the morning so id done more then the fair share of my work, plus id finished the work id been given too! Just really needed my bed! I'm hoping I feel better still tomorrow!!!! anyway toddle pip for now..... some pics from the other night I couldn't upload at the time...

Chased by a beggar....

ahhh well yesterday I was at the fashion company again! we are going shanghai next saturday for 3 nights, so as we had a day less at the school and we still needed to make up the extra day we would miss at the company we dragged our selves out of bed and into work, im also ill at this present moment, really bad sore throat Im hoping it will clear up within the next few days, if not it could be interesting... apparently here, they have doctors but only in the hospital, so you have anything wrong with you, your packed off to hospital and put onto a drip! even for something like a cold... anyway back to yesterday, I was designing 2 shirts and a jacket, we also got to look through all the samples and pick out some we would like to get for our selves! found the most amazing fabric, just fingers crossed they have it in stock! We also had a good convocation with the manager Geoffrey, asking him more about the business side of the company, it turns out that they buy samples of other big names such as Diesel, take some ideas from them then the company they bought them from buy them back at a cut cost, I don't no if this is a good way of doing things or not but it seems to work for the owner of the company, as he has a ferrari haha!!! Anyway, when I got home after my death trap of a ride home in a taxi, at one point the taxi was sandwiched between a bus and lorry, there are no rules here on the roads, the other day there was a lorry, being repaired in the middle of a junction, with loads of people stood in the middle of the road! Im convinced the population here should be less then it is, just due to people getting run over and car accidents, its so odd that it seems to actually work due to the fact all the people have the same idea and are as crazy as each other! After surviving the ride home, I got ready to go out for the evening with the others, we made our way into Ningbo centre, which in its self is the scariest thing you could imagine, then we had to negotiate the streets and roads around here by foot, now in a place like this, you are literally the centre of attention, people full on stare at you anywhere and everywhere you go, they will also insist on sitting near you on the bus, or standing s close as possible to you if your waiting for the bus! So thats the usual, the unusual, is when your walking under the subway and a beggar literally chases you up an escalator! Iv never seen Kate and Becca move so quickly, it started off with this guy just holding out a bowl, then they tried to walk away, so he then followed them, (this was what looked like a frail old man), so they walked faster, and he literally just stayed within about 10 inches of them! finally they were cornered by this old man, its a good job the australian/chinese guy was present, because Becca and Kate where close to screaming haha! eventually we arrived at the most amazing steak restaurant!!! I could eat that every day if I could order it that it! we went with the australian/chinese guy we met one evening while in the bars, he's sort of show us around and is showing us places that are good to go and see in Ningbo! It was amazing the steak was cook just right, even though they kept messing up the order it was well worth it!! back to chicken burgers tonight, don't think il be going out tonight unless I feel much better then I do just now anyway...! Maybe a good nights sleep is what I need! These pictures were what I was meant to upload yesterday, but it didn't work, so here they are....

Indian food wasn't as good as originally thought...

well the past few days have been busy busy busy as usual :)!! on wednesday I was back at the company again, caroline was ill so came in on my own with ainna, one of the girls I work with... was a good day actually!! I was told to design 3 jackets/cardigans for Intrex, all was going well, but it turns out the curry I had the night before wasn't quite as nice as I originally thought and I ended up ill too, not good! Im fine now though! Also on wednesday they picked 2 of my t-shirt designs to send off to be sampled, (well I think this is what happened although I maybe wrong) but they did pick 2!! if it hadn't been for me feel awful I would have posted this earlier. the evening was a relaxed one, I did my washing which meant my whole room as covered in clothes hung from every possible place I could think of, then I stayed in and just basically slept from about 9.30-10, was the best sleep ever!!!! Yesterday was ok too, got a bit of a lie in till 7.30 (if you can call that a lie in hahaha!) we got picked up to go to the middle school but we were not teaching because the kids had exams, instead we had been asked if we would judge the teachers English as they are currently in contact with a school in singapore, and are looking to send one or two teachers over for experience how they teach in that country, so there was some good and bad English, some of the people just didn't have a clue on how to answer, most of this was due to the fact they were maths or science teachers, and some of the people were flaunt in English, we picked the best, but as things seem to work every differently out here, so basically the older you are the more opportunity you have to do these things, so even though the best speaking ones were English teachers and Fairly young, they may still send someone older who can speak little English... we will see next week as we will know by then. When we got home at about 3.30 (so not too late for once) we all decided going out for tea was a good idea, but not to the Indian again. we went a mexican restaurant in the centre of Ningbo! It was amazing and you get so much food for £10! that got me 3 beef and chicken fajitas and a beer! cant moan about that!!! its nice to have some sort of western food!!!! We decided to set off back home as Kate and Laura had to go and meet their boss with Jasmine, Thought this was going to take us 45 mins at the most, but no on the way to the bus stop we stopped a little shop full of jewellery and pretty boxes, well that was it, I bought 2 bracelets for what was basically £7 and caroline bought the shop, as well as her and Becca fighting over a hippy bag which I also wanted to decided I may find one in Shanghai next weekend!!!! ahhh oh yes forgot to say we booked out 3 nights in Shanghai too the other day, we leave on the 28th, and are there till 2nd!!! cant wait to go and see some of the history and go to the zoo to ride and elephant (hopefully) haha! going to be so much fun! Anyway back to yesterday, After about an hour in the shop and Caroline keeping it open on her purchases alone, we were ready for home, turns out however that the bus wasn't ready to take us, waited 45 mins for a bus that is meant to be every 12 mins, we passed this time by waving at anyone staring at us.... it amused us for a while but Im not sure the people staring liked it, they didn't wave back... Eventually when we got home it was half 9, after a bus packed to the point of bursting and some unexpected shopping I was ready for bed! I have some pictures from the school I will upload later, forgot my camera today... anyway another post soon :)! thanks for all the views!!!! 2-Pacs alive....

well, the past few days have been ok, the day before yesterday while I was at the company I was picking fabrics out for the spring summer 2013 collection!!! was quite exciting. Its also been interesting trying to communicate with these people in english, most of them speak very little, one of then speaks none, he can say the alphabet and numbers to 100, anything else we end up communicating through QQ, its similar to MSN, but basically the chinese version! The evening was very relaxed when we eventually go home at 8 o clock in the evening!!!! I was so tiered! but I got to speak to my mum and family which was good!!! Past few days iv not felt too brilliant im not sure if its the early mornings or just because im in a strange place... being up at 6.30 everyday and not being able to go to sleep till after 10 is really draining!!! Anyway yesterday I was back at the company! Its always pretty good here, people are always so busy!!! we didn't have to be at the company till 1 in the afternoon, so I did get a little lie in there! When we arrived, there was loads of new materials delivered! so basically I spent a good hour just sorting through it and folding it all into piles of the different types of fabric. Later on, our manager asked for mine and Caroline's Designs for the T-Shirts... very nerve racking as they looked through them and decided to lay them all out on the floor to make a decision, funny actually as we are still unsure what was picked as they were only speaking in chinese haha!!

On the other girls blogs you may have spotted certain letters from an strange guy called Sean, well we found out eventually who these letters and drunken love messages are for..... me! its terrifying! His room is directly across from mine, and some how iv managed to dodge him recently, although Kate had a run in with him yesterday where he asked her if I would go to supper with him.... this guy doesn't seem to take a hint, he even doesn't seem to realise when I go come out of my room and hear him I shoot back in again no matter how late or in a rush I am!!!! One morning I had walked out of my door, when I heard him opening his, iv never moved so far!!! I was back in that room as quickly as I possible could be!!! Kate informed me she told him to ask me himself about supper, so this should be and interesting conversation when I say NO! I wonder if there is such thing as a restraining order over here..... Anyway I think I managed to get home around half 7! so still pretty late!!! We have all now got fed up with chicken burgers and beef with peppers, so we went to an Indian Restaurant in Ningbo centre! It was amazing!!!! I think we all thought we still had to stomachs we had in England as there was so much food and we didn't manage to eat it all!! although I expected to loss some weight while I was here but that doesn't seem to be happening... so think ill have to lay off the chicken burgers and maybe just eat fruit for a week haha! The Indian was so good though! I have Chicken Tikka, with nan bread rice and some popadoms! the meal made my day!!

On the way home, Laura brought up the subject of music as usual! haha! This time is was about 2 Pac and the hologram they used at a festival in American to basically bring him back to life! Turns out Becca had never heard of 2 pac, and so the jokes started... for a good hour our conversation evolved into how certain celebs are not really dead such as Michael Jackson, Elvis, I think someone even mentioned Frank sanataria, Kate also said Princess Diana too!!! whilst Becca sat there watching the you tube video of 2 Pacs hologram, with even the work hologram in the title, and didn't even question it, or click on to the fact we where all laughing out heads off... oh dear..... eventually she stood there and said, 2 Pacs not even really dead is he....! well that was it! I couldn't stop laughing...! We told her in the end... She couldn't believe she had missed the word hologram in the title... so funny! Anyway I went to bed soon after due to the fact I was up till 3am the night before skyping! new posts coming soon thanks for the views and sorry for the bad grammar and spelling haha!

Tequila anyone....

ok not written for a few days because we have been soo busy!!! Anyway on saturday I was at the company again designing t-shirts, well I say designing, they already had the designs they just wanted us to change the colours and how they are placed on the t-shirts. It was good and I loved the designs we had to play around with, they are getting checked today, its weird to think some of these maybe in the actual shop soon!!! Im going to ask if the manager can send us some pictures of the finished products if they go into production!!! When we eventually got home after trying to flag down a taxi and getting soaked in the rain, it was time for a big night out with all of us!! It turned into an interesting one, too much beer later and after a nasty taste of tequila I was ready for home and bed... doesn't sound the most exciting of days but here things tend to get very repetitive so the evening out was just what we needed, we also met some nice people, one was chinese, but was brought up in Australia, it was good actually having a good conversation with someone you don't have to talk to at the speed of a snail haha!!

On sunday I admit I work up not feeling the best but my hangover was nothing compared to some of the others haha! We went to meet some of the other students and our work friend called Ainna to go shopping!!! She has been amazing, taking us to work everyday and making sure we don't get lost or harassed on the buses! We went to Tian yi square, were they showed us all the main shops such as Peace birds, Zara and some other worldwide stores.

Then they took us to what I can only describe as a shopping temple, where there was loads of little shops similar to boutiques where you can find some amazing buys!! I did see a few things I liked but the one thing I am going to go back for was a leather bag I fell in love with!!!! it had a sort of floral design embossed into the leather. The shops were very good and interesting, the only problem is the store holders see us and immediately up the prices because they know they can. There was one top I really did considered buying, but our chinese friends said it was too expensive and shouldn't cost as much as they wanted for it.

Im thinking of going into the shops and finding some things I like then sending someone chinese in for them, although the prices seemed cheap to us as english people, for something that has no brand name attached to it, is cheaply made and isn't the best quality, Im reluctant to pay more just because I am english, we are going to try again on sunday to see what bargains we can bag ourselves! At about 4.30 Tong Tong came to meet us!!!! she has been amazing we do not know what we would have done without here, I think we will all be so upset when it comes to the end of our time here as we will miss her loads!!!!! She invited us to dinner at her apartment, with her husband Peter who has also been a great help! She even got out all the photo albums haha!!! It was good to see the places they had visited, and Peter had recorded all the times the photos were taken and the places... They are just such amazing people!!! We have also been teaching Tong Tong some English words such as, make a brew, cuppa tea, and some other northern slang haha... Last night we decided on a name from the group too, we are now called the lychees... this occurred as laura called her self an olive in Ibiza, so somehow we have ended up with a group name too!! so last night we were very tiered lychees. literally the min I got in last night I went straight to bed... these 6.30 starts are now doing me any good, an by the time I get some sleeping till 8 is going to feel like luxury! Im also going to talk a little about today at the company because although it is only 1.55 in the afternoon over here a lot seems to have happened today and I need to write it down before I forget, we arrived this morning to a big company meeting, the first of the two meetings was just the design department its self, where our manager briefed us (we had someone who could translate thank god) they spoke about the design process, and the fact that having each design reviewed by the manager, owner and owners wife was too much of a lengthy process and needed to be shortened. So the first step is designing and then choosing fabric the colours, then the design is sent to be made into a sample or toile as we call it, when the design has been made and it back at the company, we are expected to make any changes to our designs if needed then send back for it to be sampled again, this happens on a weekly basis. He also said he would like the designers to start designing their own trimmings and fabrics, so basically he's giving them more room to get creative, which is a good thing, but as these people are used to copying so much, Im not sure how this will turn out. The manager also insisted on the whole team speaking English as it would be good practise for them while we are here, so now he has taken to sticking red Intrex stickers on people when they are speaking chinese haha!!! Toni and Tom and Jerry will be covered in them by the end of the day... After the Design department meeting there was a full company meeting in which we basically sat there and didn't understand a word they were saying haha... we did how ever have to stand up at the front and introduce ourselves to the rest of the company. The meeting involved a lot of shouting and some weird sayings we rhymes we couldn't understand... At the end of the meeting I was informed by one of the people that speak good English that the company aims to open a further 50 stores in china within the next year (I think this is right anyway, sometimes we seem to get lost in translation) and that the company is earning 15000 RMB a day, which is about £1,500 a day, this may not seem a lot in England but here, considering the average wage is under £8,000 a year its a lot. I am very please with the company Iv been placed with, in fact Im not sure I will want to leave in just over 3 weeks time.... its going too quickly!!!!!

well yesterday I was teaching at the school again, it all went well and the students don't seem as scary as they did last week.... it was a good day, some of the students are trying to teach me some chinese too, but I don't think its going too well.... I forget to like a second after they have told me what any word is in chinese.

The teachers are also going to take us Fishing next week, pretty ironic considering I don't eat fish but im sure someone will have them lol! Anyway yesterday was pretty relaxing, we did our lessons and get paid!!!!!! (this means some shopping must be done on sunday) and then we came back to our nice comfortable beds,

This is what they call a mattress in the Chinese school.... and to poor Becca who informed us that we have actually got cockroaches and we are not imagining it.... this is now war.... iv used most of my insect repellent attempting to keep them in the bathroom and not have them scurry into my room, but its still not the best thought that when you take a shower you have how ever many sets of eyes watching from under the skirting board :/ We all seem to have taken to having at least one beer a night because it is so cheap, so I think we may have to cut down on this after tonight that is ;)! I was also awakened by Becca and Caroline knocking on the wall last night, I thought I have heard something but I just put it down to a dream, It turned out the strange guy called sean from across the hall was drunk and was knocking on their door shouting Emma! I personally think he has mixed up our names and thinks Becca is called Emma, Anyway he told them he wanted to have love with them.... which he then corrected as lunch.... so Caroline said she may have lunch with him if he sent her a love letter.... so expect another strange post on here soon with a photograph of a love poem..... I very much hope he has just mistaken my name for Becca's as he's quite scary.... especially when he walks around in nothing but his boxers.... There are some strange boys around here. Even when kate was telling him to put pants on he went to his room and came out with a shirt on.... im still laughing now about this.... some photos I couldn't upload last night from the company...
